Re-enactors 1st Tn. 2nd Flag

We represent Company E, known as the Tennessee Riflemen. Our appearance is of the common Confederate States infantryman 1863-1865. We are members of the American Civil War Society (UK)

Shell jackets or sack coats are of butternut brown wool or grey-brown jeans cloth, trousers can be military or civilian in both cut and colour. Leather equipment includes belt, cap pouch and cartridge box in black or russet leather. A tarred canvas haversack, canteen and blanket-roll complete the basic kit.

New members may borrow kit initially and will be advised on suppliers of authentic equipment and clothing. A percussion musket (requiring a shotgun licence and black powder certificate) is required to finish the look.

Company Commander: First Sergeant Mike Bussey
Non-Commissioned Officers: Corporal Shane Keenan Corporal Steve Brooks
